The Metropolitan Fire Chiefs Association is organized as a section of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), and as a section of the International Association of Fire Chiefs (IAFC) pursuant to and subject to the requirements and provisions of both organizations. The Bylaws outline the governance and framework for operation, defining membership, board responsibilities, and decision-making.
