Dubai, UAE (January 2026) Global fire service and safety leaders convened at Intersec 2026 to examine how innovation is reshaping emergency response and fire protection worldwide. The World Safety Summit featured Chief John Butler and Chief Dave Dongworth representing the Metropolitan Fire Chiefs Association, alongside Trisha Wolford of the International Association of Fire Chiefs and Chief Otto Drozd representing the National Fire Protection Association. Honorary Metro Member and former U.S. Fire Administrator Dr. Lori Moore-Merrell also participated in the gathering, contributing to discussions on the future of the profession.
